Tamsin is a former news journalist. She spent 15 years as a BBC television and radio correspondent covering everything from intrigue at the Vatican to verdicts at the Old Bailey.

She then worked for BBC Woman’s Hour, creating her own radio features. One of these stories involved a chance encounter with WW1 Dazzle camouflage. A spark of curiosity led to several years of research, inspiring her first historical fiction novel.

Tamsin was born in Scotland, grew up in North Yorkshire and now lives in London with her family and a cat named after a famous TV presenter.
