First Ink to publish Sarah Beth Durst’s cosy YA Fantasy

First Ink / Macmillan Children’s (UK) has scooped NYT-bestselling author of THE SPELLSHOP Sarah Beth Durst’s YA cosy fantasy THE FARAWAY INN, in which a teen girl agrees to spend the summer working at her eccentric aunt’s struggling B&B in order to get over a breakup, only to discover there is more to the inn — and her aunt — than meets the eye.

North American rights were sold to Lydia Gregovic at Delacorte (PRH), in an exclusive submission, for publication in spring 2026, by Andrea Somberg at Harvey Klinger (NA). UK and Commonwealth rights were sold to Charlie Castelletti at Macmillan UK Children’s (UK), in a five-way auction, by Camille Burns at Diamond Kahn & Woods Literary Agency (on behalf of Andrea Somberg).

Rights also sold to Loewe (Germany); to Juno Kitap (Turkey); to Porto Editora (Portugal); and to De Fontein (The Netherlands)
