Katharine Orton grew up in London, and gained an English Degree and a Masters in Creative Writing. When she landed a job with an independent children’s publisher, it cemented her lifelong desire to be on the other side of the process – as a writer.
Her favourite book is an illustrated copy of The Hunting of the Snark by Lewis Caroll, given to her by her Nan. She loves fairy tales, and anything with a touch of the macabre.
She now lives in Bristol with her husband and son, and though she has yet to find a family connection to Joe Orton, she still has hope.
Katharine’s debut children’s book, Nevertell, was published by Walker Books in 2019. Her second book for middle-grade readers will be published in 2020.← Previous Next →
